Description :

The Inca Jungle Route is considered one of the most beautiful and complete to get to Machu Picchu, and is flexible since adventure sports can be practiced as cycling, Trek, River rafting, zipline.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Inka Jungle Trail – Abra Málaga – Santa María – Inca Trail

You will be picked up from the hotel at 7:30 am and we will travel by private tourist bus for 3 hours to Abra Málaga (4300 masl) we will make a brief stop to appreciate the landscape then we will start with our descent by bicycle down hill for approximately 3 hours (inka jungle trail). On the way we will see a small Huamanmarca archaeological complex and also the changing climate of the jungle we will be able to appreciate coca, coffee and exotic fruits plantations such as mango, pineapple and papaya which you can pick and enjoy their natural flavor. We arrived in Santa María, a small town where we spent the night in a basic hostel.

Day 2:Santa María – Inca Trail – Santa Teresa – Thermal baths.

After breakfast we get ready to walk this day is a bit long but rewarding we will find parts of the original Inca trail we will see waterfalls and abundant flora and fauna and almost in the afternoon we will visit the thermo-medicinal baths Cocal mayo and you can relax with an energy drink such as Cuzco beer, dinner and overnight in Santa Teresa, a small tourist town famous for its thermal baths and its friendly and particularly hospitable people.

Day 3: Santa Teresa – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes (machupicchu town).

Breakfast very early after the guide’s instructions we start with the walk of 2 hours approx. Until the place called Hidroeléctrica (from here it is possible to take a train to Aguas Calientes “town of machupicchu” with an additional cost), then we will walk from inka jungle to machu picchu for about 3 more hours until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes (town machupicchu) on the way you can see various insects and you walk along the banks of the river and with an impressive landscape and you can see the Putucusi mountain in the distance and San Miguel finally we arrive at the town of Aguas Calientes at night a dinner where Our guide will inform us in detail about our tours in Machu Picchu, spend the night in a basic hotel with private bathroom and hot water.

Day 4:Machu Picchu – Cusco.

This day we will get up very early and at 4:30 am we will start with a 1:30 minute walk to Machu Picchu arriving at Machu Picchu at 6 am. You will have a 2-hour guided tour in the main sectors of Machu Picchu (there is the possibility to go to Waynapicchu, the tickets are reserved in advance) then you will have free time until approximately 4:30 pm, when the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu is closes.
At the time indicated by your guide, you will take the train to Ollantaytambo and from where we will pick you up by bus arriving in Cusco approx. In 4 hours.
